We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and improve our services
  • Generate AI-powered appraisals and maintenance schedules
  • Help you track and manage your property inventory
  • Send service-related notifications
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Device Permissions

Valuetory requests device permissions only when you choose a feature that needs them:

  • Camera: Used to photograph your valuables and properties, and to scan barcodes and VINs when adding items or vehicles to your inventory.
  • Photo Library: Used to select and upload existing photos of your items, properties, and receipts.
  • Location: If you choose “Use current location” during property setup, your coordinates are sent to OpenStreetMap to suggest a nearby address. Valuetory stores the address you confirm, not the coordinates.

Permissions are requested only at the moment you take an action that requires them. You may decline and continue with manual entry or other app functionality.

4. Data Ownership

All data you input into Valuetory — inventory, property information, appraisal values, photographs, and notes — is stored exclusively within Valuetory's secure system and is accessible only to you. It is not shared with, sold to, or accessible by any other user, company, or third party. We act as a service provider to help you organize and analyze this information, and your data is never used for any purpose other than providing the features you use within the app.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal information or inventory data with any third party. Your data is completely private and is used solely by you within the Valuetory platform.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or similar technologies to monitor your behavior across our service or the internet. Our authentication system relies solely on secure session tokens that are necessary for you to stay logged in.

8. Third-Party Services

We use service providers only to deliver features you request. For location-assisted address entry, precise coordinates are sent to OpenStreetMap for a one-time reverse-geocoding lookup after you tap “Use current location.” The coordinates are not stored in your Valuetory property record. Manual address entry remains available.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data in a portable format
